Sardinia: Ogliastra
Ogliastra is a very recent discovery in Italian Tourism. The magnificent natural coasts, the wild inland, long beaches and charming coves, enchanting landscape that climbs up the hills as far as the Gennargentu Mountains, indulging the eyes with scenarios of rare beauty, all this is offered in relative short distances. The clue of the nature is the sea coast, where the visitor can find a variety of motives, from the long, sandy beach to the small, protected gulf, but Arbatax suggests an ideal starting point for short and medium range excursions either by sea or to the hinterland.

Arbatax: The Porto Frailis Bay
The Porto Frailis Bay, surveighed by an ancient saracen watchtower and protected from the main parts of the winds, is reachable in a few minutes walk, without crossing busy roads.
The central part of it, with its fine sand and shallow water, is ideal also for children, while the rocks on both sides invite to put on snorkle and pins and to discover what's underneath.
